The Founder of Dolphin Watching in Taiwan

Dolphin watching business and related academic research of Taiwan began in Shirti Fishing Port. Over twenty cetacean species have been sighted here, including Risso's dolphin, Fraser's dolphin, Pantropical spotted dolphin and spinner dolphin which are most frequently observed species in eastern Taiwanese waters.

SeaWhale established in 1997, was the first dolphin watching boat in Taiwan. Whale watching certification was acquired in 2004. The founder captain Lin Kuo-jen also won the Outstanding Fishermen's Award in the same year.
